A mötley mix of scenes and culture.
West Hollywood offers a truly diverse mix of things to see and do, and all within walking distance of one another. So indulge with celebs at their social stomping grounds, play bingo with drag queens at a burger bar, or craft a playlist that’s entirely your own, but tune out that other famed LA experience: traffic.
An LA institution and renowned celebrity hangout, hotel Chateau Marmont has played host to cult favorites like Hunter S. Thompson, Tim Burton, and John Belushi (though Belushi didn’t have the most enjoyable stay). Grab a drink at Bar Marmont and do a little beautiful people watching.

The Comedy Store
The club where comedians like Jim Carrey and Chris Rock cut their teeth, The Comedy Store hosts a mix of household names and up-and-coming acts with stand-up shows seven nights a week. See who’s going up in April on The Comedy Store calendar and plan a different kind of workout for your diaphragm.
Legendary Bingo at Hamburger Mary’s
Better known as “Drag Queen Bingo,” Hamburger Mary’s is a game unlike any other you’ve played. This isn’t your dad’s bingo—it’s more like your daddy’s. Head to Hamburger Mary’s on a Wednesday or Sunday night for a uniquely WeHo experience featuring celebrity guests and benefiting charity.
West Hollywood Library
Yes, really—a library. But this WeHo depository is as notable for what’s on its walls as what’s within them: three massive murals by street artists including Shepard Fairey (of “Obey Giant” fame). Pop in and browse a runner’s guide, or just admire the book lender’s contributions to the LA art scene from the street.
